Favorite Classical Melodies Concert and Luncheon with the Moonlight Duo on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11 a.m .with Luncheon to follow at the Washington Twp. Public Library, 37 E. Springtown Rd., Long Valley, NJ. Sponsored by the Friends of the Washington Township Public Library.

This program, featuring piano and cello, includes music for everyone from classical and romantic music to folk songs. Throughout the concert, the artists share engaging anecdotes about the composers and the history and culture that surrounded the performed pieces. Enjoy this beautiful music wrapped around a historical journey.

Holiday Floral Decoration Demonstration

Holiday Design:  Patti Bowman, member of the Garden Club of Long Valley, a graduate of the New York Botanical Garden and owner of Violet & Vine LLC, a free-lance floral business whose experience includes working with a famous NY designer and provides floral design instruction at a local florist is hosting a demonstration program on holiday decorations. The demonstration will take on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Twp. Public Library, 37 E. Springtown Rd., Long Valley, NJ.  Come get inspired and learn floral decorating for the holidays that you can recreate in your own home.

Spur of the Moment Holiday Party Planning

The Paris House Designs will be sharing creative and easy ideas perfect for spur of the moment company during this holiday season on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Twp. Public Library, 37 E. Springtown Rd., Long Valley, NJ. Join Michele Rosenthal for tips on arranging a lovely silver tray topped with delicious artisan cheeses and appetizers and more. Also recipes for some quick homemade cookies and crackers that can be made in advance and popped into the oven when friends and family drop by all season long will be shared. Enjoy sampling all these lovely cheeses, snacks and homemade hot mulled cider that not only tastes yummy but makes your home smell delicious.



Michele will also show a film strip with step by step instructions on making a French Buche de Noel cake that will certainly wow your guests. We will have plenty of cake for all to enjoy during class as well as handouts with all recipes that you will be using year after year.
