Washington Township Public Library at 37 E. Springtown Road in Long Valley, N.J. (www.wtpl.org) will hold the following children’s programs and registrations during April 2010:
*Please note – Washington Twp residents are given priority for all programs that require sign-ups.*
Attention – Book Buddies begins Tuesday, April 6th – Little Buddies(grades 1& 2) will practice reading to Big Buddies(grades 5 and up) – all Buddies – please sign up with Mrs. Birch as soon as possible.
Story Times: March 23 – May 20 (* NO STORYTIME week of March 29*)
Mother Goose & Me: (up to 24 months): Thursdays @ 10am or 11am
Toddler Time: (ages 2-3): Tuesdays @ 10 am, 11am
Story Time : (ages 3-5 ): Wednesdays @ 10am or 1pm
We will have fun with stories, fingerplays, songs and more.
You’ve been waiting all year – It’s time for The National Library Week Bookmark Contest! Starting April 1st, you may pick up instructions and a blank bookmark. Make sure to return your (one only please) bookmark by May 1st, so the voting may begin. For more info stop by or check our website.

Family Story Time @ 11am – Join Mrs. Birch for stories celebrating National Humor Month – Silly Story Time!
Family Movie @ 1:00pm - Join us in watching recently released The Princess and the Frog (G) – parents must remain with children. Snacks provided, no registration required.
April 7th (Wednesday)
Family Story Time @ 7:00pm – Join Mrs. Averett for Fractured Fairy Tales! No registration required.
April 12th (Monday)
LEGO Club @ 4:00pm – Kids ages 5-11 yrs can come to build exciting creations.
Space is limited – online registration begins 4/5. WT residents only.
April 15th (Thursday)
PIP (Pretty Important People) Club @ 4:00pm - Kids in grades 1-4, join us as we hear stories and learn about Pretty Important People – April PIP = the Wright Brothers. No registration required.
April 21st (Wednesday)
Afternoon Story Time @ 4:00pm – all ages are welcome for stories about Earth Day. No registration required.
April 23rd(Friday)
Yoga with a Twist: Boys@ 4:00pm – grades 1-5. Miss Carolyn teaches your peaceful warriors the tools to calm & center themselves & to view others with kindness and respect – in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Space is limited. Online registration begins 4/16.
April 26th (Monday)
Spring Cleaning Craft @ 4:00pm – Grade K-3. Help us clean out our craft closet by making a surprise craft - you never know what you'll get - a turkey, a shamrock, a penguin??? Online registration starts 4/19.
April 28th (Wednesday)
Yoga with a Twist: Girls @ 4:00pm – grades 1-3. Bring your princess for fun & relaxation. In an atmosphere of fun, Miss Carolyn teaches girls yoga to strengthen minds and bodies.
Yoga with a Twist: Girls @ 5:00pm – grades 3-5. Learn to fly! Bring your girls in to learn the basics of yoga, a great way to calm and center themselves when needed.
Space is limited - Online registration starts 4/21.
April 29th (Thursday) – quiet study room
Chess Club @ 7:00pm. All ages welcome – must know how to play. Please bring a board just in case.
