Washington Township Public Library at 37 E. Springtown Road in Long Valley, N.J. (www.wtpl.org) will hold the following children’s programs and registrations during June 2012:

Summer Story Time - June 18th through August 2nd
Mother Goose & Me: (up to 24 months): Thursdays @ 10am or 11am
Toddler Time: (ages 2-3): Tuesdays @ 10 am or 11am
Story Time : (ages 3-5 ): Wednesdays @ 10am or 1pm
We will have fun with stories, fingerplays, songs and more.
June 2nd(Saturday)
Family Story Time @ 11:00am – Join Mrs. Birch for fun with stories & more – no registration required.
Family Movie @ 1:00pm – Join us as we watch a recently released DVD (rated G). Snacks provided, parents stay with children, no registration required.
June 5th(Tuesday)
Read to Rover @ 4:00pm. Last day in our reading practice to therapy dogs. Beginning readers please contact Mrs. Birch to sign up for a time slot.
June 6th (Wednesday)
Annual Bookmark Contest Reception @ 4:30pm – All entrants in the bookmark contest are invited to join us for a celebration for a job well done – refreshments served, certificates awarded, pictures taken.

SRC Kickoff! Monday, June 18th
This is our first day to sign up for the Summer Reading Club –you can sign up anytime we are open – all summer long! (Saturdays til 1:00pm only). Join us for the Willow Creek Petting Zoo (11:30-12:30) and a visit from our friend, Sprinkles the Clown(11:00-12:00)!

3-4 Book Club @ 4:00pm. Kids in grades 3 & 4 - Join us as we discuss The Anybodies by N.E. Bode – a fun book. Books & snacks will be available at the meeting. Please contact Mrs. Birch if interested.

Dreams, Books & Magic @ 2:30pm – family program – Join us for a magical adventure with Professor Hoot the Owl & Henry the Magic Rabbit as we help make the Moon Disappear, Stars Appear and bring Bed Time Stories to like. Please register online starting 6/15.
June 23rd(Saturday)
A Very Special Event @ 12:30pm– Book Launch for The Power of a Wrestler. This book is about a young 12 year old wrestler who wants to make a difference in his school by standing up to the school bully, by Long Valley student, Matthew Liberato – join us as he talks about his book & answers questions. Books and autographs available.
June 25th(Monday)
5-6 Book Club @ 4:00pm – Join us to discuss Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements. Snacks available. Pick up a book at the library. For more info contact Mrs. Birch.

Bingo @ 1:00pm – ages 5 and up join us for a few games of fun – everyone is a winner! No registration required.
